Jason P. Cohen, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Cohen founded Hudson Valley Otolaryngology in 1987 after having practiced head and neck surgery for several years in Manhattan. Dr. Cohen has extensive experience in head and neck oncology, and is one of the most experienced thyroid surgeons in the country. He has lectured nationally about thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and has published numerous articles and book chapters on head and neck surgery. He has been on the faculty of the NYU School of Medicine, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. He is currently the Medical Director of the Head and Neck Institute at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Director of the Department of Otolaryngology at Vassar, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at NYU.

Dr. Cohen is a recipient of the Honor Award of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which was given in recognition of the many years he spent teaching parathyroid surgery to other otolaryngologists. He was recently honored for 25 years of “distinguished and dedicated service” to the NYU School of Medicine as a member of their teaching faculty. Dr. Cohen’s practice is limited to surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, as well as benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck.

Rami N. Payman, M.D.

Rami N. Payman, M.D.

Dr. Payman is a Kingston native who has returned to the Hudson Valley with two post-doctoral fellowships. He is a recipient of a National Research Service Award and is the author of a number of research and clinical publications. Dr. Payman treats adults and children with hereditary and acquired hearing loss, dizziness and balance disorders, ringing in the ears, facial nerve disorders, and tumors of the skull base, middle ear and cranial nerves.

In addition, Dr. Payman sees patients with a wide range of general ear, nose, and throat disorders, with particular interest in Pediatric Otolaryngology. He is a recipient of the Community Attending Award of the Mid-Hudson Family Practice Residency Program, where he remains active in teaching as a Clinical Instructor.

Ryan Borress, M.D.


Ryan Borress, M.D.


Dr. Borress joined Hudson Valley Otolaryngology in 2007. His primary interests are the medical and surgical management of nasal and sinus disorders. He has extensive training in endoscopic sinus surgery including skull base and pituitary surgery. In addition, Dr. Borress treats patients of all ages for a wide range of general otolaryngologic disorders. He has multiple publications in basic science and clinical research. While in medical school he was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society and received the award for outstanding achievement in anatomy.

Armon Imbriglio, PA-C

Armon Imbriglio, PA-C

Mr. Imbriglio is a graduate of the Touro College Physician Assistant program, and served a surgical internship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Staten Island. He was the ENT PA at Westchester County Medical Center for 13 years and is one of the most senior ENT PAs in the United States. Mr. Imbiglio is a Major in the New York Air National Guard. Working closely with all our physicians, Mr. Imbriglio is involved in the office and hospital management of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck disorders. He also acts as first assistant in the operating room.

Ryan P. Young, PA-C

Ryan P. Young, PA-C

Ryan Young, PA-C: Mr. Young is a graduate of the Physician Assistant program at St. Francis College in Loretto, PA. He received training in Otolaryngology at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, and has been with Hudson Valley Otolaryngology since 2000. Working closely with all of our physicians, Mr. Young is involved in the office and hospital management of Otolaryngology- Head and Neck disorders.
In-addition, Mr. Young acts as first assistant in the operating room.
