Jason P. Cohen, M.D., F.A.C.S

Dr. Cohen founded Hudson Valley Otolaryngology in 1987 after having practiced head and neck surgery in Manhattan. Dr. Cohen has extensive experience in head and neck oncology, and is one of the most experienced thyroid surgeons in the country. He has lectured nationally about thyroid and parathyroid surgery, and has published numerous articles and book chapters on head and neck surgery. He has been on the faculty of the NYU School of Medicine, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine, and Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. He is currently the Medical Director of the Head and Neck Institute at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Director of the Department of Otolaryngology at Vassar, and Assistant Clinical Professor of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at NYU.

Dr. Cohen is a recipient of the Honor Award of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which was given in recognition of the many years he spent teaching parathyroid surgery to other otolaryngologists. He was recently honored for 25 years of “distinguished and dedicated service” to the NYU School of Medicine as a member of their teaching faculty. Dr. Cohen’s practice is limited to surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands, as well as benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck.
